FACE OF DEATH PATCH

We believe symbolism is important and the Face of Death insignia represents more than simple enthusiasm for firearms. Its symbolism begins with the design's shape, a shield, which is an allusion to the Shield of Faith. In the center is a skull and crossbones, an evocation of death. To friends, it’s a reminder that death is the only certainty in life. To foes, the skull and crossbones is a warning to surrender before it’s too late. The “AKP” on the skull holds a dual-meaning. In a straightforward interpretation, it stands for AK Peasant of course. On a deeper level, it also represents the Anti Kommunist Pact, our unwavering, shared commitment to oppose communism and its many offshoots, rebrands, and affiliated ideologies. We intentionally use only two colors on this design, black and white. The white of the shield border, skull, and crossbones represent Truth. We ultimately have faith in the truth that is Flesh and Word, and we also remember the truth that our time on Earth is short. The black of the background and letters represent Resolve. With these truths in mind, we must live with a determination to advance and defend what is good and oppose and thwart what is evil.
